To all LMF Midget players and graduating Bantam players
STAMPEDER ANNOUNCEMENT
Langley Minor Football and myself are proud to name Dana Matheson as the Midget coach for the 2008 season. Dana has a rich football history in BC both as a player and a coach in the junior ranks. He is also well connected with the major universities and colleges and has won a Vanier cup with Saint Marys University. Dana's proffesional approach toward teaching fundamentals and his keen understanding of the game will ensure the development and graduation of players from the Midget program in Langley. He is committed to bringing a winning tradition and building a strong Midget program.
Dana will also be bringing with him experienced assistant coaches from the Chilliwack Huskers and Big Kahunna Rams, inlcuding defensive coordinator Jeff Alamolhoda, who has returned after playing and coaching at the University of Manitoba Bisons. Jeff also brings with him a high level coaching experience in addition to also being a Vanier Cup champion.
LMF is very fortunate and proud to have this level of knowledge and coaching talent in our association at the Midget level. The staff is young and their fresh approach to the game will be inviting to players looking to develop their football skills and get connected to post Midget programs.
Dana,Jeff and the coaching staff were highly recruited in both the Junior and Collegiate levels but after several meetings with myself have committed to LMF. These guys were targeted specifically to take the Midget Program in the right direction.
Please look forward to being contacted by Dana over the next 10 days to set up a team meeting. If any player is interested in meeting Dana, he will be appearing at Skills Day at City Park around 1 pm Saturday May 10.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me at 604 574 1150 or 604 340 4483
