Welcome to the 2012 season!

As you likely know, we had a very exciting year this in 2011, both on the field and off, as we made our new home at McLeod Athletic Park. Exciting projects, like our Concession and our new Equipment Room, came to life. We also had all of the teams all in one place again.

A big Thank YOU to everyone who helped these projects become a reality. This would not have been possible without the hard work and effort of the LMF Family.

Our success on and off the field is a credit to our membership, the commitments being made, our coaching staffs who put in countless hours of practice planning and implementation of the associations progression’s, game & competition planning, film review and so on and so on it goes.

LMF grew in maturity this past year, learning a lot from the previous years. We are truly an elite Association in the VMFL and now with combined integrated league in Bantam and Midget with the VCFL, we continue to strive for success in every aspect of the sport.

We can boast that 10 Midget players from our program have gone on to University in Canada and the States, as well as some achieving spots in the Junior League here in BC. We look forward to building these numbers each year.

This all begins with player development due to coaching development, and trickles right down to the amazing support of our countless, tireless volunteers.

Although none of the teams made it to the “Big Show” this past year, the learning and growth was insurmountable and these are things that we are looking to build and grow on in 2012 and beyond.

2012 brings more big ideas and great additions. We will see even more enhancements to MAP with projects like the back field improvements getting under-way, as well as potentially a large jumbo-tron in the works. With 2012 being our first full season in our new home, with almost all the construction done, we can look forward to a very successful year.

For the 2012 season, we are seeking a Co-Ordinator for the Spring Flag season. This person will look after Registration for Spring Flag and handle all communications between the Association and the League. Position runs from February following the AGM to June.

We are also seeking a volunteer for the position of Treasurer for the 2012 Board. The ideal candidate for Treasurer will have either a business or accounting background. Fundraising is a key component in making our operation and we are looking for dedicated volunteers to join us in our fundraising ventures.
